Crab (600x345)

Here is a quick little poem and picture I thought would brighten someones day.

Twiddling my toes in the sand,

A crab crawls quickly across my hand.

I see his claws clacking away

And wonder where he is going today.

Hurriedly, he heads down the beach

Just barely out of the rushing water’s reach.

A seagull’s shadows flies over him

So he turns and tauntingly shakes a big limb.

He seems to want to stay in the sun

And he suddenly speeds up into a run.

Hastily, he hurries and has to hide.

For the crab, it seems, the seagull has spied.

The crab cannot elude detection.

The seagull dives in a downward direction,

This might be the end of the little fella,

If not for a beach-goers big umbrella.

With a click and pop of the canopy,

The crab, it seems, the seagull cannot see.

He happily hunkers down into the sand

And welcomes the wonderful shade on the land.
