Wow, time has zipped by so quickly. I have been so busy completing my latest book; I didn’t notice I haven’t updated my blog. Well, the story is done, I am adding some sketched illustrations to it, and I have finished the cover.
I took some time to consider how to illustrate the cover. I wanted to go with a more classical approach so I used a Van Gogh method of post-Impressionism. I wanted to have the colors and mood but not necessarily a lot of detail.
I would love to have the book ready for sale by December, but I have to be realistic. It still needs to go to the publishing company and they have to send me a proof to approve. As long as everything checks out it can then go to market. All this takes time.
